Not to be dramatic or anything…but it did. Not only did it give me a career that I love, but it also:
Introduced me to amazing people (and some of my best friends)
Gave me confidence in every aspect of my life
Helped me through some difficult times
Showed me that I could do anything I set me my mind to
And that's just to name a few.
Whether learning just for funsies, or you're looking for a new active hobby, whatever the reason I think you made the right choice.
Dance isn’t just fun — it’s science-backed magic for your brain and body ✨🧠💃:
Boosts mood & fights depression
Dancing increases levels of serotonin and dopamine, which help regulate mood and fight anxiety and depression.
Improves memory
Dance challenges your brain with coordination, timing, and rhythm — which boosts neuroplasticity and memory retention.
Helps process emotions
Movement is a powerful form of emotional expression — especially for things words can’t say.
Strengthens social bonds
Dancing with others or even sharing your progress online boosts connection, belonging, and community.
Triggers “feel good” mirror neurons
Watching others dance — or being watched — activates empathy and joy in the brain.
Just a few more reasons why I believe everyone should dance and IS a dancer deep down.
